This adventure invites you to get in a kayak and spend the day in nature.
This incredible Milford Sound Kayaking Experience is all about exploration. Get to know the fantastic fjord, Milford Sound, from sea level and explore corners not accessible from the cruise. You will get to kayak around one of New Zealand’s most celebrated Marine Reserves while enjoying fabulous views of natural sights like the stunning Mitre Peak.

If you are interested in receiving transportation than this fantastic adventure begins in Te Anau, if not, meet us at Deep Water Basin. Once the group is together and ready we will begin going over some safety precautions, and introducing your guide. Our guides are all experienced and acquainted with the area. We invite you to open-up and talk to others around you as well as the guides, we promise you’ll get some interesting information out of them!
Milford Sound, located in the famous New Zealand Fiordland, is known for its breathtaking scenery, inky waters, and access to wildlife.
We are convinced that the 4 to 5 hours Milford Sound Kayaking Experience is perfect for nature-lovers.
During our kayaking adventure we will break for lunch. The stop off will take place on a nearby secluded beach. Here you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the region as well as become acquainted with those you don’t know. Snacks are provided and if you’re not interested in bringing your own lunch on the trip you also have the option of purchasing lunch from us. This picnic style mid-day meal will give you a nice break from all the day’s action. Please keep in mind that our activity is subject to weather conditions. More often than not, mother nature decides to give us a beautiful day. Once the day is over we will raft up the kayaks and sail back together…a beautiful ending to a perfect day.

WHY IS THIS A
This small group kayaking tour is guided by experts and features some of Fiordland’s most iconic scenery like, Mitre Peak. It is very exclusive in comparison to the traditional cruise and provide unique insights of this magical place that very few get to experience.
The Milford Sound Kayaking Experience combines activity with relaxation. You will spend anywhere from 2 to 3 hours kayaking followed by a beautiful picnic style lunch located in a nearby secluded beach. Then, we will kayak for another 2 hours before tying up our kayaks and setting sail together!
AGENDA FOR YOUR ADVENTURE
- 8:30/9:30 Meet at Deep Water basin
- Get geared up, meet the guide and go through intensive safety briefing
- Kayaking for about two and a half hours via majestic Mitre Peak
- Lunch break on secluded beach (lunch available to buy)
- Kayaking back and sail back together for another two and a half hours.
- Return to the base by 3:00pm and to Te Anau (transfer optional) by 6:00pm.
Inclusions: certified and highly qualified kayak guides, kayaking gear (full wetsuit, life jacket, dry bag, spray jacket, booties, gloves, sun hat, thermal top, leggings, fleece top), in-depth safety briefing.
Exclusions: travel insurance, lunch (optional at extra charge), transfer to/from Te Anau (optional at extra charge), personal expenses, tips and gratuities.

Cancelation policy: If you cancel at least 2 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
